What to expect from an evaluation? If an adult, family member(s) are encouraged to attend. If agreeable, the client's family would first allow the person being evaluated to answer before offering their disagreement, additional information, or added emphasis. If a child, family members are required to attend to provide a rounded picture of the child's circumstances, his or her reactions to and expressed feelings and quality of thought.
